10/12/2020 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15891 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY TO INITIATE PROCEEDINGS TO AMEND THE GENERAL PLAN IN <br />CONNECTION WITH THE PROJECT AT 1205-1295 VETERANS <br />BOULEVARD <br />WHEREAS, Raintree Partners Management LLC (the "Applicant") has submitted <br />an application to redevelop the properties located at 1205-1295 Veterans Boulevard with <br />a mixed-use housing project (the "Project"); and <br />WHEREAS, the Applicant seeks a General Plan Amendment to designate the <br />property Mixed Use -Corridor (the "General Plan Amendment") and a Zoning Ordinance <br />Amendment to designate the properties Mixed -Use Corridor -Veterans Boulevard in the <br />Zoning Map (the "Zoning Ordinance Amendment") as part of the entitlements for the <br />above property. The General Plan Amendment and the Zoning Ordinance Amendment <br />are collectively referred to as the "Amendments;" and <br />WHEREAS, Redwood City Code Section 18.61 of the provides that the City <br />Council may adopt a Resolution of intention to initiate proceedings to amend the General <br />Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, Redwood City Zoning Ordinance Section 49.2(A) provides that the <br />City Council may adopt a resolution of intention to initiate proceedings to amend the <br />Zoning Ordinance, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. The recitals set forth above are true and correct and are hereby <br />incorporated by this reference as if fully set forth in their entirety. <br />2. The City Council hereby initiates proceedings to amend the General Plan <br />and the Zoning Ordinance as part of the Project, as requested by the Applicant. This <br />initiation does not constitute approval of the Amendments or assure any particular action <br />on the Amendments by the City Council. The Planning Commission and City Council will <br />consider the Amendments in their discretion, along with the other requested project <br />entitlements and in accordance with the City's project review process. <br />3. This resolution shall be effective immediately. The Applicant shall submit an <br />ATTY/RESO.0103/CC RESO FOR GPAI FOR 1205 VETERANS RESO.
