From: John Twomey <br />To: GRP -City Council <br />Subject: Publick Safty budget reductions <br />Date: Monday, October 26, 2020 2:52:01 PM <br />Redwood City Council, <br />Redwood City residents strongly object to the proposed budget revisions reducing <br />our public safety. We voted to pass Measure RR's sales tax increase in 2018 to <br />preserve our first responders. Tightening our emergency responders' workforce and <br />resources will put our community at more significant risk, especially those already <br />with fewer resources like Redwood Shores. I believe it's not in Redwood City's <br />interest to reduce our public safety, especially our Police and fire department as we <br />are currently experiencing a global pandemic and wildfires. There are other areas <br />that you can look to to make up the deficit. <br />John Twomey <br />constituent <br />
