From: Alecxa Rodriguez
To: GRP -City Council
Subject: Proposed $2.05 Million Cut to Fire Department
Date: Monday, October 26, 2020 12:56:27 PM
Hello,
I am a concerned citizen of Redwood City. Hearing that Redwood City is trying to shut down 20% of local fire
engines is ridiculous. We are California, the state known for wild fires. It makes absolutely no sense to take funding
away from fire engines when we have so many fires a year. This budget cut is affecting the lives of everyone living
here. Families, children, older people will all be affected negatively. I will not stand for it. This is an incredibly
unreasonable and stupid idea. If anything firefighters need more funding !
I hope everyone involved in this decision making chooses the correct thing to do and not defund fire engines when
we need them most.
Thank you,
Alecxa Rodriguez.
