From:
Derek Lennen
To:
Council -Diane Howard
Subject:
Employee Down Town Parking
Date:
Sunday, October 25, 2020 10:03:26 PM
My name is Derek Lennen, and I am fortunate enough to work in beautiful
downtown Redwood City alongside the fine essential workers that keep our community a
thriving and exciting place to be. However there is one drawback that needs to be dealt with.
Workers have to pay for parking. This is not right. Every week I hear how my coworkers have
to park far away or how my coworkers keep getting tickets. The truth of the matter is these are
hard working people. These are people who work to not only provide for them and theirs,
these are people that make downtown Redwood City the greatest downtown in the world.
These are people who make friends and family say to each other "Hey, let's go downtown!"
The city needs to offer workers validated parking when they are working. We'd appreciate it
very much. Thank you for taking the time to read our concern.
