From: John Evans <br />To: GRP -City Council <br />Subject: Do not cut our public safety services! <br />Date: Sunday, October 25, 2020 5:42:29 PM <br />Please do not cut our public safety services! <br />I'm sure there are plenty of other areas in city services and redundant administration that could bu <br />reduced as opposed to going straight to safety services. <br />We do not want to end up like S.F., Oakland, and L.A. with overwhelming "Urban Campers", of various <br />sorts from primarily drug abuse induced, mentally disturbed, or the purposefully homeless that refuse <br />available resources. This evolves and quickly if our attention is diverted and we let our guard down with <br />reduced police availability resulting in encampments springing up all over bringing additional crime, drug <br />problems and rubbish which end up costing more money in the long run to try and rectify on a much <br />larger scale. <br />Concerned RWS resident. <br />John E. <br />
