From: Charlene Schoenstein
To: GRP -City Council
Subject: Agenda #B.B. - Cannabis locations
Date: Sunday, October 25, 2020 1:45:35 PM
Dear Council Members:
Regarding the meeting tomorrow night, I would like to add to my previous
email (sent on 10/12). In that email I stated "I urge you not to allow them to
be located near housing developments. This type of store should be in the
commercial area or on the east side of Hwy 101 away from where children live." In
particular, the potential Woodside Plaza cannabis location is too close to Henry Ford
School (about 1-1/2 blocks) and St. Pius elementary school (about a block away).
In addition, potential locations of 6 facilities are excessive for the size of our city. If
we are committed to having this type of store in our community, then I believe 1 or 2
locations should be sufficient.
Thank you for your consideration,
Charlene and Paul Schoenstein
