<br />SmartPoint & Field Installation Responsibilities: <br />The Customer will: <br /> <br />1. Purchase all FlexNet SmartPoints required for the project scope intended. <br />2. Coordinate with Sensus to establish the SmartPoint installation schedule, shipment <br />quantities, and overall project timeline. <br />3. Rent or purchase handheld programming devices in sufficient quantities to meet the <br />demands of the installers. <br />4. Install or hire an installation contractor to install all SmartPoints to be used in the system <br />in accordance with Sensus installation recommendations. <br />5. Be responsible for quality assurance of their SmartPoint installation personnel and/or an <br />installation contractor as it relates to proper installation of Sensus SmartPoints. <br />6. Visit and troubleshoot endpoints that are not reporting into the system after installation. <br />7. Investigate any non-reporting SmartPoints to ensure that there are no cut wires, <br />improper installations, or improper programming, and resolve all data entry errors in the <br />system. <br />8. Assign an internal and/or installation contractor or SmartPoint installation auditor to <br />ensure installation work is correctly performed. Sensus will train this individual to identify <br />and correct SmartPoint installation issues. This individual will be the primary contact to <br />troubleshoot, identify and correct non-reporting SmartPoints and installation errors. <br /> <br />NOTE: Once the customer or SmartPoint installation crew has completed <br />troubleshooting of installation issues, Sensus will perform system optimization which <br />includes investigating any remaining non-reporting SmartPoints. Should it be <br />determined during the optimization phase that any remaining non-responding <br />SmartPoints are the result of incorrect installation procedures, Sensus may require <br />compensation for any and all locations it is required to visit. <br /> <br />Miscellaneous Responsibilities: <br />The Customer will: <br /> <br />1. Pay any taxes, renewal, regulatory or license fees associated with the network hardware <br />and software. <br />2. Apply for and/or purchase any necessary work permits for TGB, RNI or SmartPoint <br />installation. <br />
