The historic <br />landmark designation process is a three-step process, which first involves a recommendation from the <br />HRAC to the Planning Commission. The second step is a recommendation from the Planning Commission <br />to the City Council. The third step is final action by the City Council. The historic designation process <br />involves the evaluation of the application and a historic consultant's report in conjunction with the City's <br />historic designation criteria listed in Chapter 40, Section 40.6 of the City Code. <br />The City's Historic Resources Advisory Committee (HRAC) reviewed the historic report at their August 13, <br />2020 public hearing. The HRAC voted 3-0 to recommend local historic designation at 149 Clinton Street <br />under Redwood City landmark designation Criteria A, B, and C. For convenience, all four criteria are listed <br />below. <br />A. It exemplifies or reflects special elements of the City's cultural, aesthetic or architectural history; <br />or <br />B.
