From: Melissa Platte
To: GRP -City Council
Subject: Item 8 a on Council Agenda South Main Mixed -Use Project
Date: Monday, November 9, 2020 7:33:35 PM
Good Evening:
On behalf of Mental Health Association of San Mateo County I am writing in support of this
development. The project is directly across the street from our Cedar Street Apartments and while
we know the actual construction will provide some disruption in the area, we are certain that the
final development will add greatly to the sense of community and safety in our area and we look
forward to having them as neighbors.
We are also supporting the off-site development of affordable housing for individuals with special
needs and we look forward to collaborating with HIP Housing to ensure that any of our clients who
are selected for tenancy will have the support they need to be successful in housing.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Melissa Platte, MS
Executive Director
Mental Health Association of San Mateo County
Redwood City, CA 94063
