Pursuant to CEQA Guidelines <br />Section 15091(e), the documents and other materials that constitute the record of <br />proceedings upon which the City Council has based its decision are located in and may <br />be obtained from the Office of the City Clerk at 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, <br />California. The City Clerk is the custodian of records for all matters before the City. <br />Section 3. The City Council hereby adopts the following Ordinance <br />Amendment by adding the text shown in underline (example) and deleting the text <br />shown in strikeout (example), as shown in Exhibit A, which is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference. Wording in brackets ([example]) is informational only <br />and is not to be included in the published ordinance. <br />Section 4. Section 32.157 of the Division 7 of Article V of Chapter 32 of the <br />Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 32.157. - PURPOSE AND INTENT: <br />It is the purpose and intent of this Division to provide for the health, safety, and welfare <br />of the residents of the City by establishing regulations governing commercial indoor <br />cannabis nurseries and the commercial sale of cannabis and cannabis products, <br />whether for medicinal or adult use, in the City of Redwood City. To meet these <br />objectives, an annual cannabis business permit is required in order to operate an indoor <br />nursery1-GF delivery center, or storefront retail in the City, and registration with the Police <br />Department is required in order for a cannabis retailer located outside the City to deliver <br />to a customer located inside the City. The provisions of this Division are in addition to <br />any other permits, licenses, and approvals which may be required to conduct business <br />in the City, and are in addition to any permits, licenses, and approval required under <br />state, county, or other law. <br />Section 5. Section 32.158 of the Division 7 of Article V of Chapter 32 of the <br />Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Sec. 32.158. - DEFINITIONS: <br />For the purposes of this Division, the following words and phrases shall have the <br />meaning respectively ascribed thereto. <br />A. "Applicant" means the person applying for a cannabis business permit, including <br />an owner, managing partner, officer of a corporation, or any other management <br />member of the entity seeking the cannabis business permit. <br />B. "Cannabis" means any or all parts of the plant cannabis sativa linnaeus, <br />cannabis indica, or cannabis ruderalis, whether growing or not, the seeds <br />thereof, the resin, whether crude or purified, extracted from any part of the plant; <br />and every compound, manufacture, salt, derivative, mixture, or preparation of the <br />plant, its seeds or resin. "Cannabis" also means the separated resin, whether <br />crude or purified, obtained from cannabis.
