S.A. - Page 295 of 302
November 4th, 2020
Mayor Diane Howard and the Redwood City Council
1017 Middlefield Road
Redwood City, CA 94063
Dear Mayor Diane Howard and the Redwood City Council,
The Redwood City Downtown Business Group would like to encourage the Redwood
City Council to move forward on the Greystar - South Main Mixed Use Project
located at EI Camino Real, Maple, Cedar and Main Streets and an offsite affordable
housing development at 1304 EI Camino Real.
They went back to the drawing board and added additional housing, which our
organization had asked for, from 249 units to 540 units of affordable housing
opportunities for families large and small in our community. Office space came
down to accommodate more housing, they listened. They have increased the retail
footage and are seeking entertainment opportunities for our families and youth in
Redwood City, which is desperately needed, as is retail along EI Camino Real which
they will also have for us.
They might find a way to bring back the roller rink which a lot of people spoke
about at the Redwood City Planning Commission Meeting on October 27t", 2020.
This activity has really been missed by our community.
A Childcare Center is needed for the community and they have really addressed
that for our community with a support partner.
298
