6.A. - Page 17 of 251 <br />Executive Summary <br />To meet this goal, the City has identified 4 sectors to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions to achieve the <br />2030 and 2045 targets: <br />The CAP identifies key actions that need to be accomplished within the next decade to stay on pace with <br />achieving our goals. In the next two years, the City plans to implement the following actions: <br />Environmentally <br />Preferred Purchasing <br />Policy <br />-Building & transportation <br />decarbonization with <br />municipal electrification and <br />EV First! <br />-Energy efficient & water <br />saving products <br />Electric Leaf Blower <br />Incentive Program <br />-Address noise and air <br />pollution in residential areas <br />-increase community <br />awareness of air <br />quality issues <br />Incentive Program <br />Collaboration with <br />Peninsula Clean <br />Energy <br />-Heat pump water heaters <br />-Solar installation <br />-Battery storage <br />This CAP also focuses on our municipal operations as well as issues and activities in the community, including how <br />residents, organizations, and businesses can contribute to Redwood City's emission reduction goals. It provides an <br />ambitious, community -focused platform to advance policies that enhance quality of life and wellbeing, embrace <br />smart city innovation and improve social equity. We engaged experts and community leaders to plan the best path <br />forward for Redwood City, and we hope you will join us on this journey.
