7.D. - Page 3 of 7
FISCAL IMPACT
The proposed fees represent the cost for administering relocation services. The fees would be paid by
private parties when development activity results in displacement of individuals as defined by the
Relocation Assistance Ordinance. To the extent the City does not fully recover its administrative costs for
those services, General Fund dollars will offset the activity. This may require a budget amendment for
the Housing Division budget within the City Manager's Office in some years, depending on the level of
relocation activity.
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
This activity is not a project under California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as defined in CEQA
Guidelines, section 15378, because it has no potential for resulting in either a direct or reasonably
foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment.
PUBLIC NOTICE
Pursuant to California Government Code Sections 6062a and 66018 notice of the public hearing was
published at least 10 days in advance and was published twice in the newspaper with at least five days
between publications. In addition, at least 10 days prior to the public hearing, the City made available to
the public data indicating the amount of cost, or estimated cost, required to provide the service for which
each fee or service is charge is levied and the revenue sources anticipated to provide the service, including
General Fund revenues
Public notification was also achieved by posting the agenda, with the agenda items being listed, at least
72 hours prior to the meeting.
ALTERNATIVES
The City Council could choose not to adopt the proposed fees which may have the effect of incomplete
cost recovery for services provided.
ATTACHMENTS
Attachment A — Resolution amending and adopting relocation assistance administrative fees
Page 3 of 4
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
619
