City Council to adopt a resolution, with exhibits, adopting the Conflict of Interest Code for the City <br />of Redwood City and repealing Resolution No. 15731; <br />2. Successor Agency Board to adopt a resolution, with exhibits, adopting a Conflict of Interest Code for <br />the Successor Agency to the Redwood City Redevelopment Agency and repealing Successor Agency <br />Resolution No. SA 19-01; and <br />3. Approve Local Agency Biennial Notice. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Excellence in Government Operations <br />BACKGROUND <br />California law requires designated public officials to disclose their economic interests to the public. <br />Public officials designated by statute who disclose economic interests include City Council Members, <br />Planning Commissioners, City Managers, City Attorneys and City Treasurers. These positions are <br />specified in Government Code section 87200 and are often referred to as "Code 87200 filers". The <br />purpose of the disclosure requirement is to alert both public officials and the public to any personal <br />economic interests that may be affected during the public official's performance of duties.
