11/23/2020 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15912 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY AMENDING THE CITY'S CLASSIFICATION AND WAGE AND <br />SALARY PLAN TO UPDATE THE SALARY RANGES FOR <br />CLASSIFICATIONS IN THE POLICE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION (POA) <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved a 2.5% to 3.5% cost -of -living adjustment <br />effective September 14, 2020, for classifications in the Police Officers' Association <br />("POA"), based on a compensation survey for comparable cities based on data available <br />as of September 1, 2020; and <br />WHEREAS, a compensation survey has been completed by the Human <br />Resources Department and results have been agreed to by the parties; and <br />WHEREAS, based on the results of the compensation survey, the City Council <br />approved a 3.5% cost -of -living adjustment effective September 14, 2020, for <br />classifications in the POA. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. The City's Classification, Wage, and Salary Plan for classifications <br />within POA will be amended as set forth in Exhibit A-1, and as listed in the full <br />compensation and salary plan attached as Exhibit A-2. <br />Section 2.
