6.A. - Page 1 of 80 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />\:3aAW <br />DATE: December 21, 2020 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Agreements with Hinderliter, de Llamas & Associates (HdL) and HdL Coren & Cone for sales and <br />transaction and use tax, business license tax, and property tax consulting and audit services; and <br />agreement with MuniServices, LLC for access to sales and transaction and use tax records maintained by <br />the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. By motion, approve and authorize City Manager to execute a three-year agreement with HdL for Sales <br />and Transaction and Use Tax and Business License Tax Consulting and Audit Services in an amount not to <br />exceed $392,400, including City Manager authority to extend the agreement for two additional 1 -year <br />terms, for a total not to exceed contract amount of $677,181; <br />2. By motion, approve and authorize City Manager to execute a three-year agreement with HdL Coren & <br />Cone for Property Tax Consulting and Audit Services in an amount not to exceed $46,527, including City <br />Manager authority to extend the agreement for two additional 1 -year terms, for a total not to exceed <br />contract amount of $80,660; <br />3. By motion, approve and authorize City Manager to execute a two-year no -fee contract with <br />MuniServices, LLC for assistance with all outstanding petitions with the California Department of Tax and <br />Fee Administration and sales tax analysis; and <br />4.
