The Company secured passage of AB1161
which allows independent verification of the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration
(CDTFA) allocation of revenues and is responsible for many of the current methods and processes used by
agencies throughout the state to maximize their sales and use tax revenues. HdL maintains the largest
privately held sales, property and business tax databases in California. The firm constantly improves and
enhances the CDTFA raw registration data by correcting addresses and business names, differentiating
brick and mortar retailers from business to business and online taxpayers and adding new business
classifications to better identify emerging trends and economic opportunities. This highly enhanced
database includes 27 years of Redwood City's sales tax history and serves as the base for identifying
emerging economic trends and developing budget projections that take those trends into account.
HcIL Coren & Cone has been providing property tax consulting services since 1992. Currently, HcIL Coren
& Cone maintains property tax data for 45 California counties, including 27 years of annual property tax
records for the County of San Mateo, including all cities in the County of San Mateo.
.IA .
City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.ore
13
