6.E. - Page 1 of 272 <br />/<�ik <br />Redwood <br />CitylCallifornia <br />Faunded 1867 <br />Ago/ <br />DATE: December 21, 2020 <br />SUBJECT <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />Award contract to Cleverciti Systems, Corp. to install and operate an automated parking guidance <br />system for Downtown Redwood City <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. By motion, approve and authorize the City Manager to execute a Master Agreement with Cleverciti <br />Systems, Corp. to install and operate an automated parking guidance system for Downtown Redwood <br />City for a three-year period in the amount of $1,552,353, with a City option to purchase extended <br />warranty, maintenance and software services, annually, for up to seven years, in the amount of <br />$1,354,589, subject to any minor conforming changes approved by the City Attorney, for a total period <br />of ten years and a not -to -exceed amount of $2,906,942; <br />2. By motion, authorize the City Manager or the City Manager's designee to increase the contract <br />amount, if necessary, by up to 10% of the original contract amount; and <br />3. Find that the project is exempt from the requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA) under CEQA Guidelines Section 15303 Class 3 (New Construction or Conversion of Small <br />Structures). <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Transportation <br />BACKGROUND <br />Downtown Redwood City is generally bounded by Veterans Boulevard, Brewster Avenue, EI Camino Real, <br />and Maple Street, and its parking facilities consist of seven parking lots, two garages, about 1,500 on - <br />street parking spaces, and several private facilities that provide public access via shared parking <br />agreements.
