6.E. - Page 59 of 272 <br />Cleverciti Guidance: The Future Redwood City Arrival Experience <br />The end goal of a parking guidance solution is to get drivers parked near their destination as quickly and efficiently as possible <br />and, at the same time, avoid unnecessary traffic and emissions. In this proposal, we provide the technical solution to ensure <br />that occupancy of every space is accurately monitored in real-time (eliminating unreliable prediction tools, adding surface lot <br />occupancy data, and upgrading current garage occupancy tracking systems). But achieving the end goal is only possible <br />through effectively designed guidance from the city edge to the relevant street intersections and parking areas. <br />City Approach: Upon approaching the City of Redwood City, we will display the live occupancy data of parking garages, surface <br />lots, and (optionally) on -street spaces. Because we do not rely on predictive technologies for on -street parking occupancy, it is <br />possible to show on -street counts next to surface lot and garage counts. The goal of this step is to inform a driver whether or <br />not it is worth searching for an on -street space, or if they should go directly to a surface lot or garage. If drivers are informed <br />that on -street occupancy is nearly -zero they are much more likely to choose off-street parking, thereby reducing traffic <br />congestion and improving the arrival experience. <br />In the examples below we have shown the ClevercitiSign both without on -street counts (as requested in the RFP), and with on - <br />street counts included, which we would recommend, and which is possible with Add -Alternate 41. Either option is of course <br />possible with our system and the text of the guidance screens can be updated at any time as the City optimizes its guidance <br />approach. <br />We recommend a black background for better contrast and less light pollution; however, a white (or any color) background is <br />possible because the ClevercitiSign is a high-resolution RGB screen, exceeding the RFP specs with an optimal 6mm LED pitch. <br />With a Hi -Res 6mm pitch digital screen, ClevercitiSign offers nearly infinite guidance possibilities <br />Here, we show possibilities for guidance with and without on -street data <br />Copyright D2020 Cleve roti System: Gm6H.
