6.E. - Page 85 of 272
EnSight Intelligent Cameras powered by FLI
EnSight will install intelligent cameras powered by Fluid Learning Intelligence (FLI) in the Jefferson, 889 Winslow, and
Marshall Parking Garages as outlined below, to monitor ingress and egress from the facilities. The cameras will count how
many vehicles enter and exit each level within the facility. Using their advanced camera sensor technology, machine vision,
and neural network software, EnSight is able to capture reliable data and deliver up -to -the minute parking occupancy
statistics across all facilities.
EnSight Camera and Counting Zones
The Jefferson Garage and 889 Winslow Garage share one integrated network backbone where all cameras are accessible
through the switching infrastructure. From EnSight's existing server located in the parking office, they can access all of
the camera devices. Two cameras will be installed on level one of the Jefferson Garage to capture ingress traffic. An EV
camera will also be installed on this level. An additional camera will be installed on the level two ramp to capture ingress
and egress traffic. A camera will be installed on level one and level two of the 889 Winslow Garage to capture ingress and
egress.
A total garage count system with integration to two Liantronics signs will be installed at the Marshall Garage. The system
includes two cameras on level one to capture ingress and egress traffic at the Marshall and Broadway entrances and an
EV camera. A server kit with an LTE cellular modem for internet connection will be installed on level two. Connection to the
Liantronics signs will be via a hardwire connection for the Marshall entrance sign and a wireless connection for the
Broadway sign. The signs will connect to the EnSight Server which will be located on the second floor of the parking
structure.
Data obtained from the EnSight camera system is compiled and analyzed in real-time. Facility and level count totals will
then be sent to the dynamic signage located at facility and level entrances to help direct parkers to available spaces. This
information helps parkers find open spaces quickly and easily which reduces emissions and time spent searching for
available parking.
Sample layouts with equipment placement for the Jefferson and Marshall Garages were provided earlier in this section.
Drawings were not available for the 889 Winslow Garage.
EnSight EcoSystem
The EnSight Ecosystem is designed with simplicity and flexibility at heart. By utilizing the power of deep learning and neural
network technology, EnSight built a new parking guidance solution to bring parking into the future. Based on a smaller
hardware footprint, complexity has been removed and replaced with intelligent technology which delivers a better, simpler
parking experience.
Key EnSight Parking Guidance EcoSystem Differentiators:
1. Experience - Company principles have been developing and deploying Machine Vision systems globally for over
17 years. EnSight has a local installation currently being deployed at Redwood City private garages 601 Marshall
and 901 Jefferson.
2. Software Driven, Not Mechanical - EnSight uses its own counting software and does not rely on camera providers
to build their counting algorithm which allows them to constantly improve their system to ensure the highest
possible accuracy and support. The system is driven by advanced software using neural networks and deep
learning which eliminates the need for unsightly counting technology and allows for continuous system
improvements.
Redwoo
City
f :,:.: .. i. .....i i i. .i.!. -i:'.'1"'.!')'.. 6,M)i.
