6.E. - Page 187 of 272 <br />Cleverciti Sensor Data Protection ]III -Is <br />■ During the Set-up of a Cleverciti Sensor the area to be analyzed is reduced to the GPS coordinates of the Parking <br />spaces. Bordering areas are excluded from any consideration or processing, similar to a'blackening'. During the <br />set-up process the pixels of a single image of the area of interest are matched once with the map coordinates of <br />the parking spaces. <br />■ Whereas surveillance cameras are transmitting high bandwidth videostreams, the Cieverciti sensors transmit <br />encrypted <br />■ From the preferred position of the Cleverciti Sensor on lampposts as high as possible above the street, in <br />general license plates cannot be identified or recognized, even by surveillance cameras. In order to recognize <br />license plates, special license plate recognition cameras would need to be positioned at the height of a car and <br />directly in front or behind the car. <br />■ Since Cleverciti is a German company, with subsidiaries in the US and the UK, the complete system has been <br />designed in consideration of the strict privacy rules in Germany.
