funds to be established and held by the City as a result of forming the CFD to provide <br />for the services to be funded by the CFD; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council wishes to declare its intention to dissolve the <br />Maintenance District and to provide for the other matters described herein. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD CITY AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. Recitals Correct. The foregoing recitals are true and correct. <br />SECTION 2. Authority. This Council proposes to conduct proceedings to <br />dissolve the Maintenance District pursuant to the 1911 Improvement Act. <br />SECTION 3. Dissolution of the Maintenance District. This Council hereby <br />declares its intent to dissolve the Maintenance District effective June 30, 2021, or such <br />later date determined by the Council in order to collect any delinquent assessment <br />installments. <br />SECTION 4. Transfer of Maintenance District Reserves. This Council further <br />hereby declares its intent to deposit any remaining funds in the Maintenance District <br />Reserves on June 30, 2021, into one or more maintenance reserve funds to be <br />established and held by the City as a result of forming the CFD to provide for the <br />services to be funded by the CFD. <br />SECTION 5. Public Hearing. Monday, January 11, 2021, at 7:00 p.m. or as <br />soon as possible thereafter, are hereby appointed and fixed as the time when this <br />Council will conduct a public hearing on the question of dissolving the Maintenance <br />District. After hearing all objections and protests, the Council shall grant or deny the <br />same, and its decision thereon shall be final and conclusive. In accordance with <br />Governor Newsom's Executive Order No. N-29-20, the City Clerk is hereby directed to <br />notify interested parties that they may participate in the public hearing by <br />teleconference. <br />The City Clerk is hereby ordered and directed, at least 15 days prior to the time <br />fixed for the public hearing, to publish notice of such hearing by one insertion in a daily, <br />weekly or semiweekly newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City, and <br />cause printed copies of such notice to be posted in three conspicuous places within the <br />Maintenance District. <br />SECTION 5. Effective Date.
