Sequoia Station Project - Lowe, Eden & Harmonie Park <br />The Redwood City Downtown Business Group highly supports the "NEW" Plan for <br />the Sequoia Station Project being presented to the City on Monday, January 25th, <br />2021. <br />Lowe, Eden, and Harmonie Park have done an excellent job on "Reimagining the <br />Sequoia Station Project". This new outlook for the project brings new ideas, new <br />designs and new thoughts for this project that guarantees new viability for <br />Sequoia Station and the downtown. <br />This new vision brings transportation improvements, connects the neighborhoods <br />and our wonderful downtown, public open spaces, new retail opportunities which we <br />need badly, mixed -income housing opportunities beyond the scope of their last <br />proposal, and building heights which were very much discouraged to a more livable <br />heights for the buildings that have been proposed. They listened to the council, <br />the public and brought a new visors that will work for this area. <br />Both Safeway and CVS will be left open and operating during construction which is <br />especially important for the entire community. We are limited on grocery stores in <br />this area right now, so this is great news. <br />They have covered family entertainment, new opportunities for the youth in our <br />community, art walk, bike and pedestrian connections have been initiated in this <br />new plan. They increased the housing, much of it affordable and less office space. <br />224 <br />
