<br />EXHIBIT "A" <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE <br /> <br />Itemized list of what Consultant will do for City and at what price. <br /> <br />1. Trained HouseCall volunteers will respond to all HouseCall requests up to at <br />least 60 Redwood City residences, to install basic energy-saving devices and <br />complete a residential energy audit. Residents who receive a HouseCall audit <br />will be offered a colorful yard/window sign to publicize their commitment to <br />energy conservation. <br />2. Acterra will organize at least one community visibility event, with the assistance <br />of City staff, to publicize the program. The City is requested to provi~e the <br />venue(s) for the event(s) and the required supporting City staff tree of charge. <br />3. Green@Home staff will endeavor to visit a meeting of each Redwood City <br />neighborhood association once during the year to inform them about the program <br />and solicit their participation. <br />4. Green@Home staff will work with city staff, community organizations and local <br />businesses to offer at least one DIY (Do It Yourself) workshop for residents, to <br />teach them about basic home energy efficiency techniques and products. <br />5. Acterra will also work with city staff to offer a "Solar Solutions" workshop that will <br />enable residents to assess whether their home is suitable for a solar PV <br />installation and how such a system would affect their utility bills. <br />6. At the end of every HouseCall, Acterra will offer residents a city-provided folder <br />containing city-selected materials referencing city or local environmental services <br />such as hazardous waste collection, electronics recycling and water <br />conservation. <br />7. Acterra staff will work with Redwood City staff, local media, neighborhood <br />associations and other community organizations to publicize the program <br />throughout the year and offer recognition to volunteers and participating <br />residents. <br />8. Acterra will keep statistics and issue quarterly updates to the city on the number <br />of HouseCalls performed and the amount of C02 savings achieved at each <br />residence. <br />9. Acterra will make follow-up calls to residents within 3 months of their HouseCall <br />to determine whether they went ahead with suggested conservation <br />recommendations and their written commitment to make further changes. Data <br />from these follow up surveys will be provided to the city. <br />10. Acterra will prepare a report to the City of Redwood City detailing the success of <br />the program at the end of the fiscal year (June 30, 2009). <br />11. The City of Redwood City will pay Acterra $18,000 with funds from the San <br />Francisco Foundation for these services <br />
