How is a project with 4,000 - 6,000 office workers and only 640 housing units
equitable for Redwood City given the incredible impacts it will have on affordable
housing in our vulnerable communities?
2. The use of the EPS Feasibility Report to determine the appropriate type/mix of
development on the site likely relied on a pre-Covid-19 market analysis. It therefore may
no longer be accurate or applicable. Shouldn't we expect a new Market Demand Study
to be conducted before the alternatives are developed for the City's consideration (and
CEQA review)?
How can we place our faith in those numbers when we have no idea what the demand
for office will look like next year? Or more importantly, three years or five years from
now?
