• Caltrain could easily "reserve" right of way with Lowe to repurpose parking
or temporary housing near the train tracks until 4 -track, grade separation
becomes a reality
• Caltrain should be prepared to explain the timeline for development and
potential impacts and realities on achieving that timeframe
9. Given the significance of this project to the future of Redwood City, shouldn't we
consider a more substantive half-day Study Session with the Planning Commission
including presentations by Caltrains and the developer in order to give this project a
proper vetting? Instead, we had a City Council presentation start at 9:45 pm on the 25th
with an intro: "We will expedite our presentation tonight given the hour...".
In closing, thanks for your consideration of this matter and I look forward to Council
questions and comments Monday night.
Regards,
Kris Johnson
