EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />I. What the Redwood City Police Activities League (PAL) will provide: <br />A. Youth and Family Programs: Provide year-round education, <br />enrichment, and wellness programs (including sports) for grade school <br />children and their families in Redwood City <br />B. Toy Drive Support: Support the coordination an annual holiday toy <br />drive in collaboration with the Redwood City Police and Fire <br />Departments to provide for the donation and delivery of toys and books <br />to disadvantaged youth in the community. Directly manage the <br />bookkeeping tasks for this program. <br />C. Annual report: PAL will provide a written annual report describing how <br />Redwood City residents and youth were served by these programs. PAL <br />will work with the Redwood City Chief of Police and/or designee on a <br />regular basis to discuss the quality and/or level of services provided. <br />II. What the City of Redwood City will provide: <br />A. Funding in the total amount of $80,000 to support Community Care and <br />Enrichment for extended learning time (after school and summer camp), <br />Activities Based Learning (ABC online learning), Healthy Lifestyles, and <br />City Initiative programs for Fiscal Year 2020/2021. <br />III. Agreement by both parties, in concept: <br />Both PAL and the City recognize that this is a program that will need to be reviewed <br />annually to evaluate its effectiveness. Changes may be made if warranted by the <br />City and/or community needs. If it appears that conditions under which this <br />Agreement was executed have changed or are no longer applicable, practical, or <br />suited to the general purposes stated in the Agreement, PAL will confer with the <br />City to reach a mutually acceptable modification of its scope. <br />REV: 01-20-2021 MI <br />ATTY/AGR.2021.004/Redwood City Police Department (Police Activities League Agreement) (Page 7 of 7) <br />
