<br />6.3A <br /> <br />framework exists for a levee operation and maintenance program, the City has never Page 2 <br />formally documented and officially adopted one. The adoption of the City of Redwood <br />City Levee Operation and Maintenance Manual constitutes the first step in <br />demonstrating compliance with 44 CFR Section 65.10 in order to avoid classification of <br />certain areas of the City as SFHA. <br /> <br />ALTERNATIVES <br />Council may choose not to adopt the City of Redwood City Levee Operation and <br />Maintenance Manual, and direct staff to revise and resubmit all or portions of the <br />manual for reconsideration. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />Budgets in the amount of $150,000.00 will be appropriated from the Capital Projects <br />Fund for fiscal years 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 to facilitate the initial implementation of <br />the program. Exact cost associated with the program will be carefully tracked, and in <br />the future, funds will have to be appropriated in the Public Works Services Department <br />Operation and Maintenance budgets to sustain the program. <br /> <br />'72-t- .
