<br />Exhibit A <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />DOWNTOWN PROGRAMMING <br /> <br />Bruce Labadie will provide the following professional services to the Redevelopment <br />Agency of the City of Redwood City: <br /> <br />Objective: To assist the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Redwood City in <br />establishing a program of events and activities in the Downtown to help support its <br />investment in the Retail/Cinema Project and insure the success of both businesses and <br />other investors. <br /> <br />Term: Twelve months from February, 2008 through February, 2009. <br /> <br />Compensation: The compensation is $83.33 per hour with a maximum of $40,000 for <br />the year through February of 2009. <br /> <br />Services: <br /> <br />A. Assist in the identification and development of a program to obtain <br />outside funding sources, including sponsorships and grants. <br />Actively participate in helping find funding for these activities, <br />develop radio, television and print media sponsorships. <br /> <br />B. Program and manage the Target Family Sundays in conjunction <br />with Redwood City Parks and Recreation and Redevelopment <br />Agency. Program and manage a series of 3-4 cultural events. <br /> <br />C. Outline additional activities to supplement those that were <br />successful in 2007 and designed to continue to develop downtown <br />Redwood City as an entertainment destination. Research, solicit <br />and evaluate additional activities and organizations that will add <br />value to the annual downtown calendar of events. Help research <br />and develop media and company sponsorships for support of these <br />programs. <br /> <br />D. Develop budget(s) required for the support of these activities. <br /> <br />E. Advise Agency on long-term procedures for support and regulation <br />of these activities, including signature events that may be proposed <br />and implemented by outside entities, as necessary. Continue to <br />be actively involved in consulting with ongoing events, including <br />Hometown Holidays, the PAL Blues Festival and others that may <br />need assistance. <br />
