One Council Member shared concems with staff capacity and burnout in certain areas of <br /> the organization mainly the Planning Division. Council also discussed the area of Parks <br /> Recreation and Community Services and maybe this area should be looked at regarding <br /> sta�ng leve{s. Council discussed the need to be kept apprised if there are staffing levels <br /> concems or if for financial reasons the priorities are not attainable. One Council Member <br /> stated that as a matter of policy, the Council wants to hear if the organization is losing <br /> people because of work load issues. <br /> Council reached consensus that the Strategic Planning process would be addressed by <br /> the Mayor, Vice Mayor and the Executive Team and then brought back for Council <br /> discussion. This group would frame an approach for Council consideration. <br /> C. Dates for Budget Consideration. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Approve the dates for formal action of the budget. MO-08-042 <br /> Mayor Foust read the proposed dates and all Council Members agreed. <br /> M/S Bain/Aguirre to approve the proposed dates. Motion carries unanimously by a <br /> voice vote. <br /> D. Fiscal Year 2007/2008 Appropriation Revisions. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> Approve by resolution, appropriating and transferring certain funds for specified <br /> purposes to conform the budgeted amounts to actual expenditures approved for <br /> transactions, which have occurred during fiscal year 2007/2008. <br /> RESOLUTION 14849 APPROPRIATING AfdD TRANSFERRIPtG CERTA{N FUNDS FOR <br /> SPECIFIED PURPOSES DURING FY 2007/08. <br /> Brian Ponty, Finance Director, said this Council action is needed to adjust the budget due <br /> to unforeseen circumstances_ He said that overall there are funds to cover these <br /> additional expenditures. One Council Member asked City Clerk Vonderlinden if anything <br /> is being done about the elecfion cost. City Clerk Vonderlinden said that there is a meeting <br /> scheduled for June, with County Clerk Warren Slocum, but many c�ies are paying the bill. <br /> M/S Ira/Bain to approve the Resolution as proposed.
