Peninsula Landing (Corlc Harbor) were installed as <br /> part af the original development more than 20 years ago. The meters are part of #he <br /> public distribution system and are owned and maintained by the City. The four meters <br /> have outlived their useful Iife and are outdated to the extent that services to calibrate, <br /> maintain, and repair the equipment can no longer be secured. <br /> The proposed project wilt ceplace a ta#al of faur detector water meters; two ten-inch <br /> mete�s at Oracle and two six-inch meters at Peninsula Landing. The new meters will be <br /> suppfied by the same manufacturer as other more recently purchased units. Increased <br /> standardization of equipment throughout the City makes repair and maintenance more <br /> efficient, economical, and reliable <br /> For each meter replaced, the work wi11 consist of removing the existing concrete vault, <br /> water me#er, piping and appurtenances; installing a new concrete vault, master detector <br /> meter, backflow preventer, piping and other appurtenances, and restoring all pavernent <br /> and {andscaping dis#urbed as a result of the work.
