Two bodies had
unexpired terms to be filled for the Parks, Recreation Community Services Commission
(PRCSC) and Senior Affairs Commission (SAC). At the time of the vote the City Clerk
requested that votes for these specific seats be the last name stated by each Council
Member. This was a new practice that had not been used before by the City Council.

When reporting out the vote, the City Clerk reported in error that Michael Lynch and
Peggy Simon were the appointees for the unexpired seats to the PRCSC and SAC
respectively, based on the number of votes each applicant had received and not on the
number of last votes cast. To correct these actions, staff requests that Council vote for
one person to fill the unexpired seat in each of these bodies. A majority of Council
votes is required for each appointment.
