Redwood City, CA

'.SANBGRN-

~~--i

EXHIBIT -Li

pe of Work

nts a project scope developed for Redwood City, CA (City) in
generation.

eCitywill proyisleSanborn the following source material for this project.

. Geo-Referenced Stereo Imagery: Digital (scans) 3-inch resolution stereo imagery (60%
endlap and 30% sidelap). The imagery will be accompanied by an aerial triangulation (AT)
solution in a format that can be ingested by Intergraph ISAT software application. The AT
shall be orientated within the final projection required by the City.

. Parcel Vector Layer: The City will provide ESRI or CAD polygons within the projection
required by the City for the final building outline products which should be the same
projection as the AT solution mentioned above. Furthermore, it is assumed that the parcels
and City provided imagery will be within a relative accuracy tolerance capable of determining
buildings within each parcel polygon. The polygons will be attributed with appropriate
priority designation.

The Scope of Work includes the capture of building outlines which will be compiled within a 3D
stereo environment. Softcopy photogrammetric workstations will be used to accurately place the roof
outline. Sanborn will place a single spot height at the tallest point of each structure. The spot height
will be placed at the highest point Of the structure; this does not include chimneys, HV AC units or
other "roof furniture". The position, size, and orientation of each building will be maintained; the
data will be checked for standard GIS topology of the line work. Buildings will be captured if clearly
visible from the aerial photography. Capture rates must be viewed with the understanding that the
expected capture percentage is based on the visibility of a building within the source imagery; as a
result, the expected capture percentage will be discussed with the City after Sanborn reviews the
source imagery. Sanborn will capture all buildings larger than 10' x 10' (100 square feet). As directed
by the City, Sanborn will first capture building outlines for the 1350 priority parcels with the
remainder of the less than 19,000 parcels created after the first 1350 are completed.

The spatial accuracy of the building outline product will be dependent on the accuracy of the City
provided geo-referenced stereo imagery.

Sanborn will complete the extraction of the building outlines at a cost and schedule as shown below:

. 1350 parcel delivered within two weeks from successful stereo model setup: $3,250.00

. Remainder of parcels Oess than 19,000) delivered within 8-12 weeks after priority area
delivery: $20,000.00

Sanborn will follow our stringent ISO Quality Management Systems during the production phases of
the project. Furthermore, Sanborn will assign a dedicated Project Manager for a liaison between the
City assign staff and the Sanborn production staff.

Scope of Work for Building Outline Data
Confidential and Proprietary,@2003 The Sanborn Map Company, Inc., ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
