<br />06/09/2008 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14868 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br />REQUESTING AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY CONTROLLER TO <br />LEVY THE BENEFIT ASSESSMENTS FOR FY 2008-2009 FOR THE <br />REDWOOD SHORES LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE DISTRICT NO. <br />1995-1 AND AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR TO <br />COLLECT SUCH ASSESSMENTS. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, CALIFORNIA AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on July 28, 1997, voters of the Redwood Shores Landscape <br /> <br />Maintenance District 1995-1 (the "District") approved, by a vote of 89.4% yes to 10.6% <br /> <br />no, the levy of a special tax, the amounts of such tax to be annually calculated in <br /> <br />accordance with the formula set forth in the City Manager's and City Engineer's <br /> <br />Reports, heretofore approved by Resolution No. 13107 adopted June 9, 1997, and <br /> <br />confirmed by Resolution No. 13377 adopted June 29, 1998, on each non-exempt parcel <br /> <br />of land in the district; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the maximum benefit assessment for fiscal year 2008-2009 is <br /> <br />$190,175.24; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the District has the need of the services of the offices of the San <br /> <br />Mateo County Controller and Tax Collector in levying and collecting the special tax. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />A TTY/RESO/RESO.1820 <br />052308 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />14868 <br />MUFF # 506 <br />
