Currently the city's VIP has funding to help about 50 people buy a Honda <br />Civic GX amuaIIy. Since the program started, 101 people have purchased cars with 50 of those <br />in the last year alone. Huestis reports that he's now getting calls daily from people who want to <br />know how to qual"1fy for the program. . <br /> <br />A traditional Honda Civic costs approxlmatefy $18,000 but the GX model, which runs on CNG, <br />isn't mass-produced so the MRSP of this model is $25,225. Through city Incentive programs. a <br />fedec3I tax credit and a new slate program, the cost cI the GX model for VacavllIe residents or <br />people who liVe outside Vacavilfe but work within the city is reduced to the price of a regular Civic. <br /> <br />Here is a summary of the incentives available. <br /> <br />.
