<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9000 <br /> <br />DES:mf 10/29/81 <br />ORIGIN{\L <br /> <br />NOV 9 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF REDWOOD CITY ENDORSING <br />AMENDMENT TO SAN FRANCISCO BAY PLAN PERTAINING TO <br />PROPOSED LIGHT INDUSTRIAL - CO~~ERCIAL DEVELOPMENT <br />(APPROXIMATELY 85 ACRES) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Port Commissioners of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City has requested this Council to endorse a proposed amendment to <br /> <br />the San Francisco Bay Plan approved by the San Francisco Bay <br /> <br />Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC) pertaining to <br /> <br />lands in the Port Area of the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said proposed amendment relates to a development <br /> <br />by Lincoln Property Company comprised of some 85 acres proposed <br /> <br />for light industrial - commercial uses to be known as Seaport <br /> <br />Centre; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said development also includes a proposal to construct <br /> <br />a boat launching ramp, parking lot, dry boat storage area and <br /> <br />other public facilities on land to be conveyed by said developer <br /> <br />to the Port of Redwood City in return for sanitary sewerage capacity <br /> <br />rights now owned by the Port; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lincoln Property Company has applied for an amendment <br /> <br />to the BCDC Bay Plan to re-designate only that portion of the <br /> <br />plan which includes the Seaport Centre project from Port priority <br /> <br />use to non-Port priority use; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to evidence its support and <br /> <br />endorsement of said proposed Bay Plan amendment in that the <br /> <br />development is consistent with the Redwood City General Plan <br /> <br />and the Port's development plan; <br /> <br />NON, THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby finds and determines that that certain <br /> <br />amendment to the BCDC Bay Plan proposed by Lincoln Property Company <br /> <br />to re-designate approximately 85 acres in the Port Area of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City from Port priority use to non-Port priority use, <br /> <br />9 000 <br />
