<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />~ Q. 8 99 8 <br /> <br />SWC:mf 10/29/81 <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />NOV 2 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OWNED <br />PROPERTY SURPLUS; AND AUTHORIZING SALE THEREOF <br />(COMPUTER) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is the owner of an IBM <br /> <br />370/115 Computer, with peripheral equipment and software; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received evidence that such <br /> <br />property is not needed for present or prospective municipal <br /> <br />or public purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council <br /> <br />to declare said property surplus and authorize its sale in <br /> <br />accordance with Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. This Council hereby finds that the IBM 370/115 <br /> <br />Computer with peripheral equipment and software is not now <br /> <br />needed for any municipal or public purposes and will not be <br /> <br />needed for any municipal or public purposes in the future, <br /> <br />and hereby declares said property to be surplus property. <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />advertise such surplus property for sale to the general public <br /> <br />in accordance with Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City. Said sale shall be in accordance with the <br /> <br />bid documents and the following terms: <br /> <br />(a) Sealed Bids, upon notice called therefor, shall <br /> <br />be received for said property until the date and time <br /> <br />fixed by the City Clerk and sent out in the Notice of <br /> <br />Sale, and, at the time and date fixed, City Manager <br /> <br />shall open the bids received pursuant to advertisement <br /> <br />therefor, and determine the highest bid received for <br /> <br />said property; <br /> <br />0. <br /> <br />n <br />r~, <br />"__,l <br />
