BJ) 8 1 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION VACATING PORTION OF PUBLIC STREET <br />(MADRONE STREET) IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />IN ACCORDANCE WITH PART 3 OF DIVISION 9, STREETS <br />AND HIGHWAYS CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA; <br />AND RESERVING EASEMENT THEREFROM <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />OCT 2 6 1981 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Part 3 (commencing <br /> <br />at ~8300) of Division 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the <br /> <br />State of California, the Council of the City of Redwood City by <br /> <br />its Resolution No. 8973, adopted September 28, 1981, declared its <br /> <br />intention to vacate the hereinafter described portion of Madrone <br /> <br />Street, excepting however, a certain storm drain easement therefrom; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said provisions of the Streets and <br /> <br />Highways Code, notice of intention to vacate the described portion <br /> <br />of the abovementioned street has been published and posted; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held and evidence taken; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The Council of the City of Redwood City finds that the <br /> <br />hereinafter described portion of Madrone Street is unnecessary for <br /> <br />present or prospective public purposes and hereby orders said <br /> <br />portion of Madrone Street vacated, subject to the reservation of <br /> <br />a certain storm drain easement therefrom. <br /> <br />2. The portion of Madrone Street vacated and the storm <br /> <br />drain easement excepted and reserved therefrom, are more particularly <br /> <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />A portion of Madrone Street (formerly ~1aple Street) as shown <br />on that certain map enti tled "~.1AP OF BOYD AND KENT'S ADDITION <br />REDWOOD CITY, CAL.", filed in the office of the Recorder of the <br />County of San Mateo on June 12, 1905, in Book "D" of Maps at <br />Page 10, and a copy entered in Book 3 of Maps at Page 66, <br />described as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at the most easterly corner of Lot 1, Block "L", as said <br />lot and block are shown on said map, said corner also being a point <br />where the northwesterly line of Hazel Avenue, 50 feet in width, <br />intersects the southerly line of Madrone Street (formerly Maple <br /> <br />8 981 <br />
