Except as otherwise specified in this section and in section 2.2 of this Oversight <br />Agreement, this Oversight Agreement may be amended as specified in this section to withdraw any <br />Property or group of Properties from this Oversight Agreement. The Agency may withdraw a Property or <br />group of Properties from this Oversight Agreement by giving written notice to DTSC that the Agency will <br />stop work on that Property or group of Properties within the next thirty (30) days. DTSC may withdraw a <br />Property or group of Properties by giving written notice to the Agency that DTSC will stop work on that <br />Property or group of Properties within the next thirty (30) days. The effective date of withdrawal is the <br />end of the 30 day notice period. Prior to stopping work on a Property or group of Properties, the Agency <br />must ensure that the Property or group of Properties will pose no greater public health or environmental <br />risk than it posed prior to the Agency's activities on the Property or group of Properties. In the event that <br />the Agency withdraws a Property or group of Properties from this Oversight Agreement, the Agency will <br />be responsible for DTSC's costs through the effective date of withdrawal. The Scope of Work may be <br />amended by mutual written agreement of the parties. Such amendments or modifications are effective on <br />the third business day following the day the last Party signing the amendment or modification sends its <br />notification of signing to the other Party. The Parties may agree to a different effective date. An <br />amendment to incorporate a Property or group of Properties into this Oversight Agreement and to <br />incorporate by reference site-specific Exhibits for that Property or group of Properties shall be made as <br />specified in subsections 2.1, 2.2, and 2.3 ofthis Oversight Agreement. <br /> <br />24. Termination for Convenience. Except as otherwise provided in this Section, each Party to this <br />Oversight Agreement reserves the right to unilaterally terminate this Oversight Agreement for any reason. <br />Termination requires that either Party give a thirty (30) day advance written notice of the election to <br />terminate this Oversight Agreement to the other Party. Prior to termination the Agency must ensure that <br />the Property or group of Properties will pose no greater public health or environmental risk as a result of <br />the Agency activities than it posed prior to the Agency's activities at the Property or group of Properties. <br />In the event that this Oversight Agreement is terminated under this section and subject to Section 2.7 of <br />the Oversight Agreement, the Agency will be responsible for DTSC's costs through the effective date of <br />termination. <br />
