<br />C~A:djg-c 9/17/81 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />!i Q.~ <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SEP 21 1981 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR RESURFACING OF DESIGNATED <br />STREETS; REJECTING ALL OTHER BIDS RECEIVED; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREErlliNT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING <br />RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 8945, adopted August 24, <br /> <br />1981, the City Clerk called for bids for the resurfacing of portions <br /> <br />of designated streets in the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call , bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, F M & L, Redwood City, California, is the lowe$t <br /> <br />responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council <br /> <br />to award said bid to said F M & L; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of F M & L in the total amount of One Hundred Seventy- <br /> <br />nine Thousand Eight Hundred and No/IOO Dollars ($179,800.00), computed <br /> <br />in accordance with bidder's proposal dated September 15, 1981, for the <br /> <br />resurfacing according to those special provisions entitled "Special <br /> <br />Provisions for the Construction of Redwood City's Resurfacing Project - <br /> <br />1981-82" (including the plans and standard specifications referenced <br /> <br />therein) is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared <br /> <br />to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. Any and all bids received by the City of Redwood City for the <br /> <br />abovementioned work, other than the bid mentioned in paragraph 1 <br /> <br />hereof, are hereby rejected. <br /> <br />3. The Ci ty ~'1anager is hereby authorized and directed to enter <br /> <br />into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that certain <br /> <br />agreement entitled "l\gTeement" by and between the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />and F M & L, for the performance of said work in accordance with the <br /> <br />abovementioned plans and specifications, a copy of which agreement is <br /> <br />896 B <br />
