SWC:mf 9/11/81 RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 8963 ORIGINAL SEP 14 1981 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE OF COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT THROUGH THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO WHEREAS, this Council has endorsed, and the City of Redwood City is a participant in, a county-wide law enforcement communications system; and WHEREAS, the equipment used by all agencies participating in the system must be compatible; and WHEREAS, the City must purchase various communications components for use in the county-wide system; and WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo has, following bidding procedures similar to those required by Article VII, commencing with Section 2.63 of the Redwood City Code, selected a vendor to supply communications equipment to the County; and WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo is willing to act as the agent of the City of Redwood City for the purpose of purchasing compatible communications equipment to effectively enable the City of Redwood City to participate in the County-wide system; and WHEREAS, this Council desires to substitute the County of San Mateo's bidding procedures for those of the City of Redwood City, and to designate the County of San Mateo as the City's agent for the purpose of purchasing the aforesaid communications equipment; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOvJS: This Council does hereby authorize the substitution of the County of San Mateo's bidding procedures for those required by the City of Redwood City, and does hereby designate the County of San Mateo as the City's agent, for the purpose of purchasing compatible communicatiOl equipment to promote the City's effective participation in the County-wide law enforcement cOTImunications system. * * * 8963
