<br />88 <br />Page 24 <br />5) The Chief Elections Officer will conduct all aspects of the Canvass of Votes Cast. Pursuant <br />to Elections Code ~10262 and ~10411, the Canvass for a Consolidated Election will be <br />conducted as if there were only one election. The results for all jurisdictions will be <br />accumulated, certified, and reported simultaneously. The Chief Elections Officer will <br />submit a Certificate of Chief Elections Officer to the City certifying the results of the <br />election. <br /> <br />6) The Chief Elections Officer will conduct other various and miscellaneous election activities <br />as required including but not limited to all those required of the City Election Official, other <br />than those described under "Services to be Performed by the City of Redwood City". <br /> <br />7) The Chief Elections Officer will provide services for any official recount or election contest if <br />applicable. <br /> <br />TERMS: <br /> <br />This agreement shall be in effect for the performance of all services incident to the preparation <br />and conduct ofthe election to be held on November 4,2008. <br /> <br />In the event the Chief Elections Officer is unable to perform services required under this <br />Agreement, as a result of employer/employee relation conditions, vendor conditions or other conditions <br />beyond the control of the Chief Elections Officer, the Chief Elections Officer will be relieved of all <br />obligations under this Agreement. The Chief Elections Officer may terminate this agreement after <br />giving 72 hours written notice and the Chief Elections Officer will be relieved of all obligations. <br /> <br />This agreement can be mutually terminated upon a 30 day written notice. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION: <br /> <br />In consideration of the performance of services and supplies provided by the Chief Elections <br />Officer, including any and all costs incurred during a recount or election contest that are not <br />reimbursed by the voter requesting the recount or filing the contest as specified in the Elections Code, <br />the City shall pay to the Chief Elections Officer a sum equal to the actual cost of such services and <br />supplies. <br /> <br />The City shall make payment within 30 days of receipt of invoice from Chief Elections Officer. <br /> <br />CITY: <br /> <br />Signature: <br /> <br />Date: <br /> <br />Print Name: <br /> <br />Title: <br /> <br />COUNTY: <br /> <br />Signature: <br /> <br />Date: <br /> <br />Print Name: <br /> <br />Title: <br />
