<br />CGM:mf 8/25/81 <br /> <br />8957 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SEP 14 1981 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND WILBUR <br />SMITH AND ASSOCIATES RELATING TO THE EASTSIDE TPANS- <br />PORTATION NET~vORK STUDY (PHASE II) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City requires an analysis of <br /> <br />developmental alternatives for a railroad connection to the <br /> <br />Port of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires to engage Wilbur <br /> <br />Smith and Associates, San Francisco, California, to provide such <br /> <br />analysis and based upon such analysis, to recommend the best <br /> <br />method for providing such railroad connection and for maintaining <br /> <br />service on Chestnut Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Wilbur Smith and Associates has represented to the <br /> <br />City that it 1S uniquely qualified and experienced to perform all <br /> <br />of the services referred to in its proposed agreement; <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />and Wilbur Smith and Associates entitled "Agreement Abandonment/ <br /> <br />Alteration of Bay/Chestnut Streets Railroad Trackage and Relocations <br /> <br />East of the Bayshore Freeway" (form dated 8/25/81) attached hereto, <br /> <br />is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and <br /> <br />directed to execute said agrement, with attestation by the City <br /> <br />Clerk, for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />8957 <br />
