SWC: st 6/29/81 7/09/81 R RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 8900 ORIGINAL JUL 1 3 1981 RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZED EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH CENTER FOR INDEPENDENCE OF THE DISABLED, INC. WHEREAS, Center for Independence of the Disabled, Inc. has been established for the principal purpose of providing non- residential peer self-help support service by and for the dis- abled geared to assist in their independence; and WHEREAS, Center for Independence of the Disabled, Inc. has requested financial assistance for use by it in conducting its activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1981 and ending June 30, 1982 and WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said request and desires to pay to Center for Independence of the Disabled, Inc. the sum of Five Thousand and No/IOO Dollars($5,OOO.OO); and WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for approval an agreement between the City of Redwood City and Center for In- dependence of the Disabled, Inc., and it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve the same; NOW, THEREFORE: BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: That certain agreement (form dated 7/9/81), by and between the City of Redwood City and Center for Independence of the Disabled, Inc., a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. * * * 8 900
