DES:mf 7/1/81 RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. 8892 ORIG\NAL JUL 6 1981 RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY DESIGNATED "ANNEXATION OF HORGAN RANCH TO THE CI-TY OF REDWOOD CITY (25.2:t ACRES)" WHEREAS, the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of San Mateo (LAFCO) adopted its Resolution No. 636 on May 20, 1981, making determinations and approving the proposed annexation to the City of Redwood City of the territory described in "Exhibit A" hereof attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, preliminary proceedings with respect to said annexation were initially commenced upon petition of George S. Nolte and Associates for BAS Homes; and WHEREAS, the distinctive short form designation assigned by LAFCO to the territory proposed to be annexed is "Annexation of Horgan Ranch to the City of Redwood City (25.2+ Acres)"; and WHEREAS, LAFCO has determined that the territory proposed to be annexed is uninhabited; and WHEREAS, the reason for the proposed annexation, as set forth in the proposal thereof submitted to LAFCO, is to develop the property with single family detached homes; and WHEREAS, LAFCO has waived the restrictions of Government Code Section 35010 with respect to the proposed annexation; NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: 1. Monday, August 10, 1981, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard, in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, 401 Marshall Street, Redwood City, California, is hereby fixed as the time and place where a hearing will be held on the proposed annexation designated "Annexation of Horgan Ranch to the City of Redwood City (25.2:t Acres)." 8 892
