6.18

Roberts & Brune Company has worked with the City for the past several years and has Page 2
been a reputable and responsive vendor. Their previous Utility System Materials
contract expired on June 30, 2008.

This bid agreement has an option for two one-year extensions at the same price.

ALTERNATIVES
The Council could choose not to authorize this agreement for the purchase of materials,
in which case staff would purchase them on an "over-the counter" basis. Materials
would then be subject to fluctuating pricing and the lack of availability.

FISCAL IMPACT
Funds for these materials and supplies are included in the approved FY 2008-09 Water
and Wastewater operating budgets. Public Works Services will manage purchasing
within the Council approved budget. Because the bid is based on unit pricing, cost-
control will be done by managing the quantities of materials purchased during the fiscal
year.

~

. ~stin Ezell
Public Works Superintendent

L
Pubh

Peter Ingram
City Manager

v

ATTACHMENTS
Agreement for the City of Redwood City - Utility System Materials

RELATED DOCUMENTS IN CITY CLERK'S OFFICE
Robert's and Brune Co.
