Retrofits will occur as each property owner agrees to convert to
recycled water for landscape irrigation and industrial uses.
Status: Retrofrt Bid Package 1 (18 commercial sites in the Redwood Shores area)
was 100% constructed in time to meet the demands of the 2007 irrigation season.
Retrofit Bid Package 2 has been awarded and is scheduled for completion in time to
meet the demands of the 2008 irrigation season.

Bid Package 9 (see attached map) is the ninth distribution pipeline construction project
and will extend the delivery of recycled water to the Westport Office Park area. Piping
will be extended along Island Drive and Bridge Parkway for the purpose of serving a
large demand for recycled water at Westport Office Park. Most of the pipe for Bid
Package 9 will be installed on the property of the Westport Office Park. The recycled
water demand for irrigation use at Westport Office Park is estimated at 65 acre feet per
year, or 58,000 gallons per day. Piping to meet the demand at Westport Office Park
also secures the most expeditious configuration for future piping to serve other northern
jurisdictions. More than 5,500 linear feet of PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) and double
contained HOPE (High Density Polyethylene) pipe ranging in size from 8 to 14 inches in
diameter will be constructed in approximately six months.

The 10 bids received at the bid opening on July 16, 2008, are summarized below:

Bidder Bid Amount
Shaw Pioeline, Inc., San Francisco $1,252,650.00
Sanco Pioelines, Inc., Camobell $1,347,570.00
Pacific Underaround Construction, Inc., San Jose $1,350,700.00
J & M, Inc., Uvermore $1,368,274.00
K.J.
