<br />EXHIBIT A - SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Communication and Educational Information Support <br /> <br />Data Instincts <br />August 7, 2008 <br /> <br />Purpose <br />Provide communications and informational support services to the City of Redwood City <br />(RC) to develop information authorized by the constitution or laws of California and <br />which constitutes a fair and relevant presentation of facts to aid the electorate in <br />reaching an informed judgment regarding the two ballot measures to be voted upon by <br />the electorate of Redwood City on November 4, 2008. <br /> <br />This scope of services provides for initial consultations to the City of Redwood City for <br />the purpose of providing information to the public about the possible effects of the two <br />proposed City of Redwood City Charter amendments to be voted upon by the <br />electorate; the "Majority Vote Amendment" and the "Two Thirds Vote Amendment". <br /> <br />The Consultant shall develop communications materials in coordination with City staff <br />on an as needed basis. These may include but is not limited to a variety of informational <br />collateral materials such as fact sheets, PowerPoint presentations, Web page updates, <br />educational materials, guidelines, letters, and e-mail broadcasts, all in accordance with <br />state law. <br /> <br />Overall effort not to exceed: $60,000. <br /> <br />ATTY/AGR/2008.071 <br />080708 <br /> <br />7 <br />
