'a <br />'- . .. ... <br />REP.OI\T <br /> <br />August 25, 2008 <br /> <br />SUBJECT <br />Annexation of 711 Esther Lane, Assessor's Parcel Numbers 058-245-020 and 058-244- <br />030, to the Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance District <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt a resolution approving the sewer annexation of 711 Esther Lane, APN 058-245- <br />020 and APN 058-244-030, to the Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance District subject to the <br />following conditions. <br />1. The property owner pays a sewer connection fee of $550.00 per connection to the <br />City. <br />2. The property owner agrees to consent to future annexation ofthe property to the <br />City. <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br />Pursuant to the Redwood City/Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance District Agreement dated <br />March 18, 1958, the County of San Mateo and the property oWW1er of 711 Esther Lane, <br />APN 058-245-020 and APN 058-244-030 (location map attached), has requested <br />permission from the City to annex this property to the Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance <br />District. Property and property owner information is as follows. <br /> <br />Name <br />Dolly Cool <br /> <br />Assessor's Parcel No. <br /> <br />058-245-020, 058-244-030 <br /> <br />The application was submitted by San Mateo County, and has been reviewed by the <br />City's Engineering and Construction Division. The purpose of this application is to <br />secure sanitary sewer service from the Oak Knoll Sewer Maintenance District for the <br />identified property. The sewer capacity necessary to service this property is provided as <br />part of a total County allocation of .5 million gallons/day pursuant to the Emerald Lake <br />Heights Capacity Agreement between the County of San Mateo and the City of Redwood <br />City dated August 19,1980. <br /> <br />AL TERNA nVES <br />Council may choose not to approve the sewer annexation, which would be contrary to <br />public policy, and prevent the development of sanitary sewer facilities for the property. <br /> <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact to the City as the County of San Mateo Department of Public <br />Works is responsible for maintenance of this and other services in unincorporated <br />areas. <br />
