<br />Agreement with Service League of San Mateo County <br />Funding for Property Acquisition <br />926 4th Avenue, Redwood City, California <br /> <br />Exhibit A <br /> <br />PROGRAM SERVICES <br /> <br />A. ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />1. Assiqnment and Transfer of Aqreement <br /> <br />Notwithstanding Paragraph 7 herein, this Agreement may be assigned by <br />Contractor to and be assumed by a non-profit corporation (hereinafter called <br />"Beneficiary") which must be approved in writing by the City prior to the <br />assignment and/or assumption, provided that the "Beneficiary" shall assume all <br />rights and obligations of the Contractor hereunder, in form and content <br />satisfactory to the City. <br /> <br />2. Acquisition <br /> <br />With funds provided under this Agreement, and funds to be deposited by <br />Contractor hereunder, Contractor shall acquire the property at 926 4th Avenue, in <br />the incorporated limits of Redwood City ("Property" or sometimes referred to as <br />the "Units"). Contractor shall obtain a first mortgage of approximately $353,000 <br />from Borel Private Bank & Trust. Contractor shall deposit $80,000 plus sufficient <br />fees for non recurring escrow fees in order to complete this sale at a purchase <br />price of $683,000. Upon completion of this acquisition, Contractor shall provide <br />sufficient funding, staffing, operations and maintenance to provide and sustain for <br />a period of 55 years, special needs transitional housing on the subject property <br />within 90 days from the date of execution of this agreement. Contractor shall <br />rent each of said units to an eligible and qualified Redwood City resident as <br />described in Paragraph 4 and Exhibit C attached herein. <br /> <br />3. Marketinq <br /> <br />Contractor shall select occupants from a pool of eligible applicants residing in the <br />incorporated limits of the City of Redwood City and countywide shelter system no <br />later than the date on which units become available. Contractor shall include as <br />part of its marketing efforts, outreach to chronic homeless and at-risk of being <br />homeless households transitioning through one of the various homeless and self <br />sufficiency assistance programs operating in the City of Redwood City. At least 2 <br />beds shall be occupied at all times by qualified Redwood City residents. <br /> <br />4.
